Terms of service
Draft for beta testing · 23 October 2026. Not legal advice. Operator details, contact address and legal review are required before commercial launch.
About Stride
Stride is a household budgeting tool for planning income, bills, spending pots, goals and mortgage information. The current beta is free; no commercial subscription or trial terms have been finalised. The operator’s legal name and contact address must be added before launch.
Your account and shared household
Keep your login secure and use accurate information. Only invite someone you trust: joining a household gives its members access to the shared budget and the ability to change it. Use your own account rather than sharing passwords. Tell the operator promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Not financial advice
Stride is a personal planning and record-keeping tool only. All calculations, forecasts, projections, lender guidance, budget-split suggestions and optional AI observations are illustrative estimates and general information — they are not regulated financial, investment, mortgage, tax or debt advice, and they must not be relied on as such. Stride does not access your bank accounts and cannot verify that any payment, Direct Debit or transfer has actually been made. Always check your own bank statements, mortgage offer and lender correspondence, and consult a qualified, regulated adviser before making financial decisions.
Accuracy of information
Figures shown in Stride are derived entirely from information you and your household enter. You are responsible for checking that what you enter is accurate and up to date, and for keeping a separate record of important financial information. A projection, debt-free date or budget split shown in Stride is only as reliable as the figures behind it.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to access another household’s data, disrupt the service, upload unlawful content or misuse account recovery. You remain responsible for the information you enter and for how you act on it.
Beta availability and changes
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” during beta. Features may change, and interruptions, errors or data inaccuracies may occur. Testing is intended to identify problems before a public launch. Significant feature changes may be described in What’s New. There is currently no guaranteed service level.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law: Stride is not liable for any financial loss, missed payment, penalty, interest charge or decision made in reliance on figures, forecasts, reminders or AI observations shown in the app; nor for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss arising from service interruptions. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have actually paid to use Stride in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim — which, during the free beta, is £0. Commercial charges, cancellation rights and this clause require legal review before a paid launch.
Stopping use and requests
You can stop using Stride at any time. Account deletion is not yet available as a self-service feature. During beta, contact the person who invited you to arrange a data request with the operator. A formal contact method and governing-law provisions must be finalised before launch.
